Make sure that you are carrying the entry ticket and the transport ticket.
The transport ticket is required to gain access to the free transport provided by the government on the onward and return journeys.
Please do not lose your tickets. Keep both the tickets safe till you are back home.
Children over the age of 2 years must have a ticket for security reasons.
You are encouraged to carry food and beverages for the journey.
After reaching the bus drop off point, be prepared for a brief walk to Zayed Sports City where you will go through a security check before going to your assigned place mentioned on the ticket.
Kindly note that food will not be permitted past the security checkpoint except for those with emergency needs.
After passing through the security checkpoint, food and beverages will be available for sale until 8 AM.

Why is the Pope coming to the UAE?
Primarily, upon invitation of Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Government of the UAE to participate in an inter-faith conference on human fraternity. He will also celebrate holy mass with the Catholic faithful in Zayed Sports City, Abu Dhabi.
How can I register for the papal mass? Is there a registration process?

The registration for non GCC residents is closed.
When will tickets be distributed?
Tickets are expected to reach parishes after January 20th. Distribution to parishioners will commence shortly after that.
If I don’t get a ticket, how can I see the Pope?
You will be able to watch the Papal Mass live online on www.uaepapalvisit.org
The Mass will also be streamed live to all the parishes in the UAE.
Where will all the Pope’s public appearances take place?
As of now, the only planned public appearance of the pope is at the Papal Mass.
Although the Holy Father will also visit St. Joseph’s Cathedral, this will be a strictly private visit. The public will not be admitted to the premises during that time.
How many people are going to be allowed in the stadium?
The indicated number at the moment is 120,000, but this is subject to change.
Can we drive to the stadium for the mass ourselves?
The Papal Visit is being organized by the UAE government. Details of any opportunities will be announced by the government. The church is not involved in the decision-making process regarding choosing vendors for various services.
